Weight Loss Vitamins
Over weight can be the main cause of many diseases including heart attacks. Excessive fat in take gather around glands in the body which are the greatest enemies. Nowadays there are so many ways of getting rid of these fats in the form of diets. The problem is that many of our bodies’ nutrients like vitamins get lost in the process leaving us not as healthy as we should be. To see what vitamins should be taken during a diet to maintain a healthy body, we must learn more about the nutrients we take in when eating.
Our bodies exist out of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, water, vitamins and minerals. Taking an excess of one or more – like carbohydrates in the form of sugar – can cause an overweight problem. Taking less of all can cause other health problems. All of these six nutrients are necessary for a balanced, healthy body. Dieting has a way to deprive our bodies from necessary vitamins and minerals. Certain vitamins have to be supplemented in order to assure that specific function to the body.
B vitamins – important in terms of weight loss – are known as ‘stress’ vitamins. The two important vitamins providing fuel to cells are B3 and B6. Cells can then easily burn fat. Zinc together with B6 produce pancreatic enzymes which help good digestion. A good digestion enables efficient use of food and prevents storing food as fat.
Metabolism is affected by a dysfunctional thyroid. In order to stabilize it, vitamins B2, B3 and B6 should be taken. B5 on the other hand has to do with energy production. It helps controlling fat metabolism. All these vitamins are important and can be taken in a good B complex.
Blood sugar levels are controlled by insulin. Chromium controls these levels that find it hard to burn food as fuel, then storing it as fat. Chromium also controls fat and cholesterol in the blood. Taking chromium over a period of ten weeks can let you lose an average of 1.9kg of fat.
An important mineral in appetite control is zinc. Deficient zinc can cause loss of taste and smell, causing a want for stronger tasting food. These foods are sweeter, saltier and at the end more fattening.
Energy is produced by co-enzyme Q10 found in all the tissues and organs in the body. Co-enzyme Q10 not only helps heart problems, immune deficiencies, and high blood pressure but it also helps with weight loss. People on a low-fat diet can double their weight loss when taking co-enzyme Q10 rather than a diet alone.
From this it is clear that diet alone isn’t sufficient for weight loss but that vitamins can rather help shaking off those extra kg’s.
